Alden Central School District
Buffalo Engineering provided engineering services for Phase 2, 3 & 4 of the $8 million 2018 Renovations Vision 20/20. Phase 2 of the project created a new 300-seat aquatic center at the Alden CSD high school. The recently completed new natatorium has eight lanes for swimming competitions, two diving boards, and an ADA-accessible ramp. The project also included renovations to the existing locker rooms, associated MEP improvements, and the addition of public restrooms and a new entrance to the building.
Phase 3 included infrastructure upgrades at the Elementary, Middle, and High schools. The Middle School upgrades involved the addition of new science classrooms for students. Phase 4 is currently in design and will upgrade the High School boiler plant.
We also provided MEP engineering services for the district’s Energy Performance Contract. The energy efficiency measures included lighting upgrades, high-efficiency boilers, building automation upgrades on HVAC equipment, and vending machine occupancy controls.
