Since 1993, Buffalo Engineering has worked extensively with HSBC Bank (and the former Marine Midland Bank) to provide a wide range of engineering services. Our projects include HSBC’s $35 million capital investment in the Atrium Building and in the former mortgage processing facility in Depew. The Atrium project involved a total overhaul of all six floors of the existing space to provide a flexible, open-space layout. The project earned LEED Gold certification (LEED O+M: Existing Buildings v3 – LEED 2009) for energy-efficient lighting, high efficiency HVAC equipment, water efficiency measures and environmental upgrades, among other measures. The project also included technology upgrades to further enable wi-fi and video conferencing, as well as an advanced telecommunications system. Similar MEP/FP work was completed at the Depew location. The renovations place HSBC’s facilities among the highest quality and workplace standards in the HSBC group and in the United States.
