As a subconsultant to architects, Buffalo Engineering is providing third party reviews of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems associated with school districts’ and BOCES’ capital project submission packages. Technical review services are performed to certify that projects are compliant with the applicable sections of the NYS Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, the NYS Energy Conservation Construction Code, the building standards of the NYS Education Department, and reference standards. We also identify those scope items that are ineligible for building aid in accordance with New York State Education Department guidelines. Services have been provided since February 2018 and for over 40 districts across New York State.
