Buffalo Engineering has provided engineering services since 2004 for projects at multiple CHS locations. Recent projects include:

  • Mercy Ambulatory Care Center: Approximately 11,500 sf of the existing triage, treatment and waiting rooms were renovated and a 1,600 sf addition was added for new soil and clean holding rooms. Existing systems were modified and extended for the renovated and new areas.

  • Mercy Hospital of Buffalo 2nd Floor Patient Holding Center: A 16,000 sf renovation project to relocate the nuclear medicine department and to expand the post-op patient holding area. The patient area included 25 beds, doctors’ and nurses’ stations, clean holding, a waiting/reception room, locker rooms and support areas. The new imaging area includes the Cath Lab, telecom room, and support areas.

  • Mercy Hospital of Buffalo Women’s Services 4th Floor Reconfiguration: Relocation of patient beds and reconfiguration of space to expand the receiving/waiting/reception area in the maternity area. The project also included improving doctors’ areas, creating doctors’ meeting/conference space, and relocating on-call beds.
